Except for a very brief period of having white, gold or yellow/gold helmets, the Demon Deacons has always been black. They also have some very odd helmets from the early 1970's that are explained in more detail here. One of the helmets I wish I had more detail on is the obscure 1982 Mirage Bowl design that they used against Clemson. This helmet had gold japanese characters on posssibly the right sides only.
