OFFICIAL COLORS: Old Gold, Navy Blue and White
Georgia Tech has primarily worn gold helmets throughout their existence. The only logo they have worn besides the 1969 "100" logo and some award decals is an interlocking "GT" logo.
Georgia Tech has provided some questions that I need help with. One source, (ESPN College Football Encyclopedia), indicates that GT had black in their color scheme starting in the mid 1970's until 1987.
Another source, GEORGIA TECH UNIFORMS THROUGH THE YEARS indicates black was worn under Bill Curry (1980-1986). For now, I am going stay with Navy for the 1970's until the special l985-1986 helmets.
